Dr. Pejman Azarmina is an MD who works as a Medical Director at a large pharmaceutical company supporting a number of life-saving medicines and devices. Pejman's life mission is to help people in any capacity that he can. This is typically achieved through his role at his company. Additionally, he engages in a few other activities which are aligned with this particular mission. These include writing books, articles and blogs; as well as 1:1 coaching, mentoring and interactions with individuals who ask for his professional help.
Pejman was born and raised in Tehran,
went to Tehran Medical School to study medicine, moved from Tehran to London in
2003 and immigrated to the United States in 2008. In
the 6 years between graduation from medical school and joining the
industry, he worked as a hospital doctor, executive editor, medical
writer, researcher and health intelligence analyst. He
also obtained a master's degree in Healthcare Management and a graduate
certificate in Medical Informatics.
After joining the
pharmaceutical industry, Pejman served in the following functional areas: Outcomes Research, Disease Management, Medical Information and Medical Affairs. In the past few years, he became a certified six
sigma project leader, received the Advanced Communicator Silver (ACS) award from his company's toastmasters club and obtained a Certificate in Coaching from the New York University.
As an accomplished composer and santour player, Pejman has so far released four solo albums, which are available on iTunes and Amazon as well. Their names are Shabdiz, Persian Nostalgia, Rebellious Solitude and Old Persian Dances (Renghaye Haft Dastgah). In addition to recitals in Tehran and London, he has given many educational concerts at a number of academic institutions across the UK.
Pejman's personal goals in 2012 include publishing his new book on the concept of "thinking partner" and helping more people through his coaching and workshops.
